In a statement released over the weekend by the representative of the Web Crew Mr. Isaac Osagie, “The Proshare website has gone deep in its preparations for the launch of Proshare Web 6.0 which would showcase a lot of new developments, more user-friendly pages to reflect new services, products and partnerships that would enhance the value-offering of the site” He further indicated that Proshare will be making regular announcements in the weeks and months ahead on developmental changes that have all been designed to enhance its role as a resource centre for the discerning stakeholder in the Nigerian financial market place.

When we launched the new service portal on September 1^st, 2011, our desire was to bridge the critical service gaps and embrace new tools to match the current market realities with the service needs of the investment community.
 

This we hope we have provided, yet we remain conscious of the southward movement of ‘technology shelf life’ and thus continue to push the envelope in order to create a better user experience for the community.
 

The investment community page, which was created to bring the market closer to the changing trends in the increase use and adoption of social media/IM’s; meant that we would have to find a more engaging approach to make this relevant and offer a better user experience.
 

We found a better way to provide such an experience without compromising the objectives.
 

Consequently the investors’ community page on the website has been replaced by an easy-to-follow social media tracker on the home page. This is ahead of the application development efforts for handhelds which has been on-going since December 2011.
