Julius Berger Plc has notified The Exchange that at its 42nd AGM held on June 21, 2012 Messrs Macdonald Olarinde Tubi, Harold Samuel Tsumba and Dr, Ernest Nnaemeka Azudialu-Obiejesi were elected as Non-Executive Directors to its Board.

Tubi has over 30 years in business management within leading global companies. A result driven executive and an astute manager, he possesses unique business perspectives and a record of achievements in roles ranging from advertising and marketing to human resources. In addition to strategic leadership and critical execution skills, he blends broad, unique and rich experience in human capital management and strategic marketing capability to effectively link business strategy, operational processes and competent talent. He has provided human resource leadership to sales, marketing, finance, IT and manufacturing groups in North America, Europe and West Africa for leading global companies.

Tubi has a Bachelors’ Degree in Advertising, Masters in Public Relations and a Masters in Business Administration (Marketing) in the United States. He is currently a Managing Partner and lead consultant on Human Capital Management, Bailey Cole Consulting, Philadelphia and Lagos. He is also a Director and Internal HR Strategy Consultant to various global and North America Divisions of Pfizer, Wyeth and GlaxoSmithKline.

He is recognised for building multi-level partnerships to drive performance, innovation and a culture of achievement. His experience in human capital management boasts an enviable record of successful leadership of organizational change, integration of merging organisations with divergent cultures as well as development of competent leadership pipeline and an engaged committed workforce.

Tsumba obtained his bachelor of Law degree in 1974 from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife and was at Nigerian Law School, Lagos between 1974 and 1975.

He started working in Nigerian Breweries as Trainee Brewer and worked in other places before becoming the State Counsel, Benue State Ministry of Justice, Makurdi in 1976 and chairman the Benue State Law Revision Committee for Colonial Administration (1983). He is the current Chairman/CEO of Tai Holdings Limited, a position he occupied since 2000. Also, the Chairman/CEO CBC West Africa Limited (2001-Date).

He has attended several courses in Nigeria and has travelled to several countries in Africa, United States of America and United Kingdom. He is a member of Nigerian Bar Association, Sappers Golf Club, Nigerian Army School of Engineering, Makurdi among others.

Azudialu-Obiejesi was born on April 17, 1960 and hailed from Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State. He graduated from University of Benin, Benin Edo State with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy. He obtained a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nsukka in Enugu State.

He is the Group Managing Director of Cross-Functional Experience & Cross Industry Expert, offering over 27 years of management leadership experience within wholesale distribution and EPC industries. He is a focused and effective leader with proven ability to turnaround and grows companies. His wealth of experience include proactively identifying and resolving problems, controlling cost, maximizing productivity and delivering positive results among others. He was the MD/CEO of OBIJACSON Group (1985-1991) and President / CEO NESTOIL (1991-Date). He has attended several courses in USA and Europe.

He is a fellow of Nigerian Institute of Sales Management and Member, Nigerian – Canadian Chamber of Commerce among others.
